DAY 1: Travel Day
International flights should be arranged to depart from the US on or before Wednesday, September 8th, 2027, to arrive in Split, Croatia by 4 pm on the tour start date of Thursday, September 9th, 2027. Late arrivals will need to find their own way to the arranged hotel and may miss out on some tour activities. Discounts will not be provided for late arrivals. Early arrivals will need to secure any additional hotel nights and/or activities they wish to participate in before the tour begins.
DAY 2: Arrival In Croatia
Participants should arrive in Split, Croatia by 4 p.m. Those who arrive in the morning or early afternoon may participate in a visit to Trogir, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage historic center. Founded over 2,300 years ago, the city features a stunning mix of Romanesque, Gothic, and Venetian architecture connected to the mainland by bridges. Overnight in Split
DAY 3: Split
Explore Split and its remarkable historic center, built around the ancient Roman Palace of Diocletian. Wander through the palace ruins, narrow stone streets, lively squares, and waterfront promenade while discovering the layers of Roman, medieval, and Venetian history that define the city. Enjoy time to explore Split at your own pace before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Split
DAY 4: Dalmatian Islands
Set out by boat along the spectacular Dalmatian Coast, traveling toward the island of Hvar and the enchanting Blue Cave. Explore Hvar’s historic harbor and charming stone streets before continuing through the Adriatic waters to discover hidden coves, islands, and dramatic coastal scenery. Take an evening stroll on Bačvice Beach and watch locals playing the amusing traditional water game of picigin. Overnight in Split
DAY 5: Croatian Countryside
Begin the day with a church visit or relax in Split before traveling inland to the historic town of Knin. Explore the impressive Knin Fortress, one of Croatia’s largest medieval fortifications, dramatically positioned above the surrounding countryside. Continue through the Croatian interior to Plitvice, gateway to the country’s renowned national park. Overnight in Plitvice
DAY 6: Plitvice Lakes
Discover the extraordinary beauty of Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes, and lush forest trails. Continue west toward Istria and the hilltop village of Motovun, surrounded by vineyards, forests, and rolling countryside. Enjoy the evening exploring this picturesque medieval town. DAY 7: Rovinj & Pula
Explore the charming coastal town of Rovinj, with its colorful buildings, winding cobblestone streets, and beautiful Adriatic waterfront. Continue to Pula to discover one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world and other remnants of the city’s ancient past. Overnight in Pula
DAY 8: Venice
Board the ferry from Pula and cross the northern Adriatic to Venice. Arrive in one of the world’s most enchanting cities and begin exploring its canals, bridges, and historic squares. Wander through the heart of Venice and enjoy your first evening surrounded by its distinctive architecture and atmosphere. Overnight in Venice
DAY 9: Venetian Islands
Spend the day discovering the unique islands of the Venetian Lagoon. Visit Murano, famous for its centuries-old glassmaking tradition, and continue to Burano, known for its brightly colored homes and delicate lacework. Return to Venice to explore more of the city’s canals, bridges, and hidden corners. Overnight in Venice
DAY 10: Verona
Travel to romantic Verona, the historic city immortalized by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Explore the ancient Roman Arena, impressive churches, and medieval streets of the city center. Wander through the stalls of the market in Piazza delle Erbe. Ascend the Lamberti Tower for an aerial view of this city which is completely encircled by the river Adige. Overnight near Verona
DAY 11: Italian Countryside
Travel through vineyard-covered hills to the Mediterranean coast. Stop to explore Mantua's ducal palace, three lakes, and Renaissance architecture. Spend the afternoon in Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled along the Italian Riviera. Stroll through the historic village centers or hike the scenic mountain trails that connect them. DAY 12: Cinque Terre
Attend church services or visit the town of La Spezia. Then, return to the colorful seaside villages of Cinque Terre, with time to wander the narrow streets, enjoy local cuisine, and take in spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Discover the unique character of villages: Monterosso, known for its beach and relaxed atmosphere; Vernazza, with its picturesque harbor; Manarola, perched dramatically above the sea; and Riomaggiore, with its colorful homes climbing the hillside. DAY 13: Milan
Travel early to Milan, Italy’s elegant capital of fashion, art, and culture. Experience the lively Piazza del Duomo and admire the magnificent Milan Cathedral from the square. Wander through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, browse local shops, discover charming cafés, or simply enjoy Milan’s vibrant atmosphere before your final evening in Italy. DAY 14: Return Home
The tour concludes with hotel check-out by 11 a.m. Arrangements to the airport will be made for those leaving prior to 11 a.m. Travelers departing very early or after 11 a.m. should arrange their own transportation to the airport.
Tour Pricing And Payment Schedule
The Adriatic Coast: Croatia & Italy tour scheduled for September 2027 will be $3,650 per person, based on double occupancy. A $100 discount* is given for payment in full at initial deposit; otherwise, the following payment schedule applies per person:
Non-refundable deposit of $650 reserves spot - deposits made prior to Dec 31st, 2026, receive a $100 discount*, making the deposit $550.

If signing up after any deposit deadline, payment for any previous deposits will be due upon sign-up. Prompt payment is appreciated. Late payments are assessed a $25 late fee.
*Only 1 discount on tour pricing is permissible. A discount of $100 is available to all those who place their deposit prior to December 31st, 2026. After December 31st, 2026, a $100 discount is available to all those who pay their full tour price at the time of their initial deposit.

Liability Waiver and Release Form
Please sign and return the Liability Waiver and Release Form for each tour participant. A parent or guardian must sign the form for any minor participants. A tour request is officially submitted when both the tour deposit and the Waiver and Release form are received by Aticus Travel, LLC for each tour participant.
Travel Insurance
Due to the strict cancellation policy, in order to protect your investment, and to provide you with peace of mind, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. Many reputable companies exist and you can look into any of them, but here are a few recommendations to consider: Allianz Global Assistance, TravelEx, World Nomads and Travel Guard.
