DAY 1: Travel Day
International flights should be arranged to depart from the US on or before Sunday, August 15th, 2027, to arrive in Edinburgh by 5 p.m. on the tour start date of Monday, August 16th, 2027. Late arrivals will need to find their own way to the arranged hotel and may miss out on some tour activities. Discounts will not be provided for late arrivals. Early arrivals will need to secure any additional hotel nights and/or activities they wish to participate in before the tour begins.
DAY 2: Arrival In Scotland
​Participants should arrive in Edinburgh by 5 p.m. Those who arrive in the morning may participate in a visit to Palace of Holyroodhouse on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile (additional fee). A visit to the palace allows you to explore Scotland's rich royal history through its grand State Apartments, the historic chambers of Mary, Queen of Scots, and the beautiful ruins of Holyrood Abbey. Overnight in Edinburgh
DAY 3: Edinburgh
Discover the historic heart of Edinburgh, exploring its medieval Old Town, elegant New Town, and iconic landmarks. In the evening, experience the world-famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, featuring spectacular military bands, traditional Scottish music, and performances beneath the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Overnight in Edinburgh
DAY 4: Stirling & Oban
Travel through the Scottish countryside to Falkirk, an area known for remarkable engineering and historic landmarks. Continue to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s most important royal strongholds and a magnificent window into the nation’s past. Journey west toward the coastal town of Oban, gateway to the islands of the Inner Hebrides. Overnight in Craignure
DAY 5: Inner Hebrides
Set out across the waters of the Inner Hebrides to explore the beautiful Isle of Mull. Continue to the sacred island of Iona, an important center of early Christianity in Scotland, before visiting Staffa and its spectacular basalt columns and sea caves, formed from the same geological forces that created Northern Ireland’s Giant’s Causeway. DAY 6: By Sea, Land and Air
Catch the morning ferry from the Isle of Mull, crossing the scenic waters back to Oban. Enjoy a memorable stop at the dramatic ruins of Doune Castle, a 14th century stronghold famously featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Outlander. After exploring its historic courtyard and labyrinth of stone tunnels, head to the airport for an afternoon flight to Dublin. Overnight in Dublin
DAY 7: Dublin
Discover Ireland’s vibrant capital, Dublin. Explore its historic streets, grand Georgian architecture, and landmarks that tell the story of Ireland’s rich cultural and political heritage. Visit Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Temple Bar and Grafton Street. View the incredible 9th century illuminated manuscript, the Book of Kells, at Trinity College Overnight in Dublin
DAY 8: Newgrange
Attend church services or explore Phoenix Park in Dublin. Stroll along the waterfront at Malahide Beach. Discover a complex of Neolithic mounds, chamber tombs, and other prehistoric relics with a visit to Newgrange. These burial mounds were built over 5,000 years ago and pre-date the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge. Overnight in Trim
DAY 9: Clonmacnoise and Bunratty
Journey west through Ireland’s historic heartland to Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic site founded in the sixth century along the River Shannon. Visit the Irish Workhouse Centre to learn about the difficult realities of life during the Great Famine. End the day at Bunratty Castle, one of Ireland’s best-preserved medieval castles. DAY 10: Cliffs of Moher
Experience some of Ireland’s most spectacular coastal scenery at the Cliffs of Moher, where towering cliffs rise dramatically above the Atlantic Ocean. Climb O’Brien’s Tower, which offers panoramic views of the Aran Islands and Galway Bay from its viewing platform. Continue south along the Wild Atlantic Way to the reach the quieter, dramatic edges of the rugged Kilkee Cliffs. Travel inland to the lively town of Tralee in County Kerry. Overnight in Tralee
DAY 11: Dingle Peninsula
Explore the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula, where dramatic coastal landscapes, green hills, stone walls, and charming villages showcase the beauty of western Ireland. Follow the scenic Slea Head Drive and take in sweeping views of the Atlantic and Blasket Islands. Enjoy time in Dingle, a colorful harbor town known for its traditional Irish character. DAY 12: Killarney National Park
Spend the day exploring the beauty of Killarney, nestled among the mountains, lakes, and forests of County Kerry. Discover the scenic grounds of Killarney National Park, with opportunities to visit historic sites, enjoy the peaceful lakeshores, or take a traditional jaunting car ride through the countryside. Admire St. Mary’s Cathedral, a striking 19th-century Gothic Revival church and one of Killarney’s most recognizable landmarks. Overnight in Blarney
DAY 13: Blarney Castle
Explore the historic grounds of Blarney Castle, one of Ireland’s most famous medieval landmarks. Wander through the castle’s beautiful gardens, discovering hidden pathways, woodland trails, and peaceful garden spaces surrounding the estate. Those who wish may climb to the top of the castle to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone. Continue to the dramatic Rock of Cashel, a remarkable medieval complex perched high above the surrounding countryside. Overnight near Dublin airport
DAY 14: Return Flight From Dublin
​The tour concludes with hotel check-out by 11 a.m. Arrangements to the airport will be made for those leaving prior to 11 a.m. Travelers departing very early or after 11 a.m. should arrange their own transportation to the airport.
Tour Pricing And Payment Schedule
The Celts: Scotland and Ireland tour scheduled for August 2027 will be $3,650 per person, based on double occupancy. A $100 discount* is given for payment in full at initial deposit; otherwise, the following payment schedule applies per person:

Non-refundable deposit of $650 reserves spot - deposits made prior to Dec 31st, 2026 receive a $100 discount*, making the deposit $550.

If signing up after any deposit deadline, payment for any previous deposits will be due upon sign-up. Prompt payment is appreciated. Late payments are assessed a $25 late fee.
*Only 1 discount on tour pricing is permissible. A discount of $100 is available to all those who place their deposit prior to December 31st, 2026. After December 31st, 2026, a $100 discount is available to all those who pay their full tour price at the time of their initial deposit.

Flight between Scotland and Ireland, up to $225 – participants will be responsible for expenses above this amount, if necessary.

​Liability Waiver and Release Form
Please sign and return the Liability Waiver and Release Form for each tour participant. A parent or guardian must sign the form for any minor participants. A tour request is officially submitted when both the tour deposit and the Waiver and Release form are received by Aticus Travel, LLC for each tour participant.

Due to the strict cancellation policy, in order to protect your investment, and to provide you with peace of mind, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
